Parent Learner Testimonials

“The University for Parents has helped me in my advancement into developing the leader in me. My communication skills are better and my relationships are much better. I am no longer isolating myself. I interact and fellowship. I am on a path to a greater me, greater leader, greater advocate, and mother, and some day wife. Thank you to U4P and all the instructors. Thank you Susan Taylor for this wonderful program.”

“During my time attending the University for Parents and taking A New Way Forward, I learned so much about not only myself, but also being a man. I learned so much more about my heritage, and new ways to conduct myself in my relationships and in society. Being in this environment has really helped me grow. I am not the same man as who I was before I started this class. This is one of the best classes I could have taken because it allowed me to express myself and talk about my problems. More men need this class to express themselves so they can be better fathers and better men in the future.”

“I can positively say the University for Parents has made me a better person. It has helped me develop a positive attitude towards my purpose in life and discover more about myself. The instructors are very caring and interested in the parent’s well-being. They make sure every class is fun, educational, and they hold you accountable for your interactive actions.  It’s a great place to learn how to navigate through your educational career and life challenges.”

“When first coming to U4P, I didn’t feel like I needed to be here. After a few sessions with Dr. Jerome, I made a resolve to get something out of the program.  Dr. Jerome told us that we are all here for a reason and after tragedy the soil is fertile for new growth or for something good to happen.  The instructor’s words made sense to me because I had lost my fiancee in June and really needed the encouragement. I do believe that no matter how well we do in life or work, we can all be better fathers, husbands and friends.  After considering the things learned during the U4P classes, I began to examine myself and make a resolve to better myself and work on my life and being the best that I can be.”
